myLakeland Account Overview - Instructors & Staff

When you are a new employee, your account will be created for you and your account information will be provided in your new hire packet.

Default username: The first initial of your first name, followed by your last name, followed by a number.

Example: jsmith12

Active Directory/myLakeland passwords expire every 120 days and must be reset. myLakeland will notify you when the password is within 10 days of expiration upon login.

Multifactor Authentication (MFA)

As we continue to elevate our security, we have upgraded the myLakeland portal sign in. We are enabling Multifactor Authentication (MFA) for all employees.  

  • After you enter your password, the system will prompt you for a second form of authentication. 
    • You can select “Send me an email” to your personal email, or “Send me an SMS” text message. 
  • If you select “Trust this device”, then you will not need to enter the MFA code every time you log in, but at a minimum it will prompt every 2 weeks. 
    Note: While the checkbox says trust this device, the system will prompt you for the code if you switch to a different browser.

  • If your cell phone number is incorrect in Banner, you can let HR know to change it. You can see your phone information in Banner Self-Service in the Personal Information section by selecting View Address(es) and Phone(s) link.
