How do I Add/Re-Install Networked Printers? (Faculty & Staff)

If your usual printer is no longer working, this will get it going again provided that the printer is a networked printer, not a local printer connected to your PC only. If you simply want to add another printer, you only have to follow Steps 3 and 4 below.

 

 

For Network Printers:

Windows 10

  1. Click Start > Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
  2. Click on the printer with the issue and select Remove device, then click Yes.
  3. Click the Start Button and Type: \\papercut and press Enter.
  4. Choose the Network printer you want to print to. Right-click and connect. You may have to follow the prompts to install the printer.
