How do I Add/Re-Install Networked Printers? (Faculty & Staff)

If your usual printer is no longer working, this will get it going again provided that the printer is a networked printer, not a local printer connected to your PC only. If you simply want to add another printer, you only have to follow Steps 3 and 4 below.

             

1. In the Search window on your Windows Task Bar type \\papercut.  
    
2. A new Explorer window will open. Search the "Comments" column to find the location of the printer you would like to use. (If you do not see the "Comments" column, click the "View" button at the top and select "Details.")  Select the printer with in your location. Right-click the printer and select "Connect."
   
   
    
3. The driver should quickly download and the print manager should open. From there the printer is ready to use.
