How do I Add/Re-Install Networked Printers? (Faculty & Staff)

Removing and Reinstalling Network Printers

Lakeland’s printing system is managed through Papercut. Occasionally, Papercut requires an updated driver for a connected printer. This driver is best updated by removing and reconnecting to the printer.

Removing an Existing Printer from Windows

Step 1 – In the “Search” section of your taskbar type Printers & Scanners and press Enter.

Typing Printers & Scanners in the Search bar

Step 2 – In the “Quick Search” menu that appears, click Open under “Printers & Scanners.”

The "Open" button under the Printers & Scanners app

The “Settings” app opens to the Printers & Scanners section.

Step 3 – Click the small arrow next to the printer that is requesting a new driver.
