Accessing Wi-Fi at Lakeland Community College

Lakeland's Wireless Networks


A state-of-the-art wireless network is deployed across the campus. Different wireless networks are available depending on your role at Lakeland. 

  • lcc-stu – for active credit students
  • lcc-emp – for active Lakeland employees
  • lcc-guest – for guests 

Students must have an active account to access lcc-stu. Lakeland’s Help Desk can help you connect using the most popular supported operating systems (Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, Chrome OS).

 

Connecting to the Student and Employee Wireless Networks

On your device, go to Settings > Wi-Fi and select lcc-stu or lcc-emp. Enter your username and myLakeland password.  

  • Username: Your username is the first part of your student e-mail address before the @ symbol.  

Example: jsmith12 of jsmith12@mail.lakelandcc.edu  

  • Password: Your myLakeland password. 
     

Once you authenticate and connect, you will be able to browse the internet and your device will automatically connect when you are on campus. If you change your myLakeland password, you will have to re-enter your new credentials.

Student and Employee Wireless Network Advanced Settings

On some devices, you may be required to modify the advanced settings. You can confirm the settings below. If you're having issues connecting, Lakeland's Help Desk can help you connect to your device to our network.

 

 

  • EAP Method: PEAP

  • Phase 2 Authentication: MSCHAPV2
     
  • CA Certificate: Use system certificates
     
  • Online Certificate Status: Do not validate
     
  • Domain: lakelandcc.edu
     
  • Identity: Your Lakeland username
     
  • Password: Your Lakeland password
Advanced settings on device

Connecting to the Guest Wireless Network

On your device, go to Settings > Wi-Fi and select lcc-guest. Your web browser will open to a log in page.

Create an account using your first and last name and your personal email address. Check “I agree to the terms and conditions” and click the Register button. Your guest account will expire in five days.

 

Outdoor and Parking Lot Wireless Access

Exterior Wi-Fi access points have been installed across campus, 23 on the main campus.  These access points will enable students to sit at Lakeland parking lots approximately two parking rows back from buildings and use the Lakeland Wi-Fi.
