I hide a grade column in the grade center but my students say they still see it.

Issue/Question

• I hide a grade column in the grade center but my students say they still see it.
• My students say they see an assignment grade column that I don't see in my grade center.

• Blackboard Learn - Original Course View

Cause

• The column is most likely hidden from instructor view but not student view.

Resolution

1. Navigate to the Full Grade Center > Manage > Column Organization.
2. Locate the column (it will be slightly grayed out and say hidden).
3. Select the column and choose 'show selected column' using the show/hide option at the bottom of the page and submit the change.
4. You should now see the column in your full grade center.
5. If you want to hide the column from students, click the chevron at the top of the column and select hide from students.
6. You should now see a circle with a slash through it, indicating the column is hidden from student view.
7. If you would like to hide the column from your view as well, click the chevron at the top of the column and select hide from instructor view.
