My students say they posted a thread but when I access the discussion forum, no threads or postings are visible.

Cause

• The most likely reason is the Forum or Thread has Force Moderation enabled.

Resolution

• To see the postings, access the Forum or Thread. From its action link, click on the Moderate Forum or Moderate Thread button. From the Moderation Queue screen, click on the Moderate button. From the Moderate Post screen, Publish the post and click Submit. The posting is now available within the Forum or Thread.
• After publishing the posts, you can elect to disable the Force Moderation option by navigating the Forum or Thread's action link and select Edit. From the Edit Forum or Edit Thread screen,  uncheck the Force Moderation of Posts option and click Submit.
