How to Access Voicemail

Voicemail can now be accessed multiple ways:

Webex client

From an on campus physical phone

From any phone

From your Lakeland email account

 

Webex client

Go to Voicemail , choose a message, and then listen to the message in one of the following ways:

  • Right-click the message and choose Play voice message.
  • Click Play in the window that opens to the right.

After you listen to a message, you can send it to your Trash folder, Right-click the message and choose Delete. If you need to recover the message because you accidentally deleted it, go to your Trash folder, right-click the message, and then select Recover.

To call into voicemail from the Webex client:
Click on phone, enter the voicemail PIN then hit # and listen to the prompts.

From a Cisco 6821: dial 5555 to access the Voicemail system

From any phone

  1. Dial 5555 From any Webex Calling Phone or Webex App.
    • Dial * when you hear the greeting
    • Enter your extension for the Mailbox ID, followed by #
    • Enter your voicemail PIN for the Passcode, followed by #
  2. Or you can call your number from any phone 1-440-525-xxxx
  3. Listen for message to start then hit *
  4. Enter your voicemail PIN then #
  5. Then listen to the prompts

From your Lakeland email account

As part of the upgraded Webex phone system, voicemail will arrive in an email to you as a text transcript with a .wav audio file attached in addition to being available within the Webex application.

To help identify these voicemail notification emails, look for the following:

  • Subject: begins with “Voice Message Attached from…”
  • From: msgs@broadcloudpbx.net
  • Attachment: A .wav file formatted as SenderPhoneNumber_DateOfVoicemail_TimeOfVoicemail.wav

For example, 7190_20240123_093948.wav as shown in the example screenshot below, 7190 is the sender’s phone number and the time the voicemail.

Note: this option is enabled by default.  To toggle the option receive email notifications of voicemail:

  1. Navigate to https://user.webex.com/ or login to myLakeland and click on the Webex & Phone User Settings link within myApps
  2. Enter your email address and click Sign In
  3. You will be redirected to the myLakeland login page; login with your credentials
  4. Click Settings > Calling > Voicemail
  5. Within the Advanced Settings section click to toggle the button to Email a copy of the voicemail message and choose the email address the message is sent to
