Recommendations for accessing the Employee Team files

There are a few hundred thousand files in the H Drive and it takes some time for OneDrive to ensure that all the files and folders are all synced onto your device. Once the Employee Team has completely synced, it runs fine, but occasionally OneDrive file updates are slightly delayed. Teams now opens files in edit mode in the Teams app and has added the ability to “Open in Desktop App” right from the files list menu. When you select Open in Desktop App from the Teams file tab, the file will still show up in your recent documents list.

Therefore, the recommendation is to generally access “Employee” Team files directly in the Teams app and that you limit the “Sync” from the Employee Team to only the primary department folder you use the most.

How do I restore a file?

  1. Go to the OneDrive website and log in using your myLakelandID@lakelandcc.edu and your myLakeland password.
  2. In the navigation pane, select Recycle bin.

How do I stop syncing and remove a Team folder from my device?

Select the blue OneDrive cloud icon in the notification area, at the far right of the taskbar.

Note: You might need to click the Show hidden icons arrow next to the notification area to see the OneDrive icon. If the icon doesn't appear in the notification area, OneDrive might not be running. Select Start, type OneDrive in the search box, and then select OneDrive in the search results.
