• I received an error when attempting to submit my assignment.
• You cannot attach the following file. It may contain a security threat:.html. Please fix the file and re-attach it OR attach a .zip of the file.

• Blackboard Learn (Original Course View)

Cause

• Normally this error occurs when a file is saved as a Web page and the .html file is submitted to the assignment.

Resolution

• Zip the file and resubmit as a .zip file.
  • Right-click on the file from the saved location.
  • Select 'Send to' > Compressed (zipped) folder.
  • Submit the new .zip file.

• Convert the HTML file to a Word document, PDF, or another supported file type and resubmit.

  • Right click on the file from the saved location.
  • Open with Word.
  • File > Save As.
  • Change the file type to Word Document (*.docx).
  • Resubmit the newly saved file
