Allowing an Override for Prerequisites or Class Capacity
Faculty members can allow a student to enroll in a full class or to enroll in a class for which they have not completed the prerequisite coursework. A prerequisite override can be made for any student at any time.
From your myLakeland home page, click the "Faculty" tab on the side bar to the left, then click Faculty Services.
When the new page loads, click the Registration Overrides button.
A new web browser tab will open.
Select the Term and then enter the student’s Lakeland ID (LID), their name or a combination of the two then click the Submit button.

If the student has a common name, or you searched with a limited amount of information, your search may provide more than one option. Click the down arrow to the right of the “Student or Advisee” field to ensure you are giving the override to the student requesting it. Select the correct student, then click the Submit button.
A new page opens. In the Override column, select either “Override Closed Class” or “Override Required Prerequisites.” In the Course column, select the Course Reference Number (CRN) of the class to override. Click the Submit button when finished.

A screen summarizing your override request will display for your review. Click the Submit button again to save the changes in the system. The student is now able to register for the class.
